Begin with the beginning in mind
For many, the end of a year marks the start of something new - a resolution to change jobs, get fit, or lose weight. The idea of course is determining an end destination or goal that will bring greater satisfaction. Indeed, goals are great tools to move from one destination to another.
But as it relates to a sense of happiness, of greater importance than the destination is the ability to enjoy the present. To that end, fitness and wellness are first and foremost about finding comfort in the discomfort and the willingness to really face your shadow.
“Ultimately, fitness isn’t about reaching a goal, but about being your best in the present. ”
— Eric C. Stevens
Today’s tip is to begin with the beginning in mind. That is, focus on the first step, not the last - It’s the only step that matters.
